Fresh of his trilogy win over Diego Corrales, new WBC lightweight champion Joel Casamayor is looking towards a big money fight, with super featherweight champion Marco Antonio Barrera.

"I only want to fight the best. I want Marco Antonio Barrera. I hope he takes the challenge," Casamayor said.

Barrera was poised to move up to the lightweight division earlier in the year to challenge IBF champion Jesus Chavez. Chavez suffered an injury during his training camp and the fight was cancelled. Since that time, Barrera has stayed in the super featherweight division and fought two bouts with Rocky Juarez.

A March HBO pay-per-view date has been set aside for Barrera, but now that Manny Pacquiao has been signed by Golden Boy Promotions, it's likely that De La Hoya will try to match Barrera and Pacquiao on that date. Of course if Pacquiao loses his November 18 trilogy bout with Erik Morales, the door for a Barrera bout will be wide open for Casamayor.
