SSE Arena, Wmbley - Carson Jones (39-11-3, 29KOs) wins the WBC international silver super welterweight title as Ben Hall (9-0-1, 2KOs) is pulled out by his corner in round six.

Having fought the likes of Kell Brook and Brian Rose, Jones used his vast experience to unsettle the home fighter, continuously pressing forward and had his first notable success with a wide right hook midway through the third.

Undeterred, Hall responded by landing a meaty left hand that staggered the American across the ring seconds later but as he tried to capitalised he was hurt with a straight hand over the top in an action packed round.

The punishment seemed to have taken it out of the 23-year-old Brit and he was hurt again in the fourth before a vicious uppercut had Hall on unsteady legs in the fifth as Jones' accuracy started to tell.

Oklahoma-based Jones continued his assault forward in round six and with Hall seemingly struggling with his right hand and left shoulder, the Chadwell Heath man's corner waved the towel to bring proceedings to a close.

ON THE UNDERCARD

Essex welterweight Jack Healy (1-0-0, 0KOs) is surprisingly beaten by Chris Adaway (5-23-2, 0KOs) over four rounds. The referee scored the fight 38-39.

Healy, 25, focused his strategy on working his jab to bring his trusted right hand into play, and had success in the opening round when a pinpoint straight down the middle drew gasps from ringside.

Despite Healy seemingly having the power advantage, Adaway, from Plymouth, was the busier man in the second and third as he shifted into range, threw his shots before tying up.

The Grays man was erratic as he stepped on the gas in the fourth and final round in search of the stoppage but Adaway was able to spoil his way to a points win.
