Carlos Zarate Jr., 25-years-old, has announced his retirement. He was accompanied by his father and trainer, the great KO artist Carlos Zarate. Carlos Jr fought twenty one times and won 20 of those fights, with 15 KO's. His career was marred by shoulder injuries which required several operations. His only loss was due to a shoulder injury. He's decided to use his ability and considerable talents to become a trainer. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman announced that Carlos Jr is being awarded a one year scholarship and grant to learn the job of a boxing trainer at Sports City.
