After several setbacks due to injury and illness, former welterweight champion Carlos Quintana is expected to return in the month of September at the likely weight of 154-pounds. Quintana is currently a contender at junior middleweight, but for the right fight he is willing to move back down to welterweight.

"We want Carlos to have a fight as soon as possible so he can shake off the rust.  So we are looking for him to return for the end of September," said promoter Lou DiBella to Primera Hora.

The paper mentioned a possible fight between Quintana and Kermit Cintron, another DiBella promoted fighter. The fight is possible says DiBella. Cintron is more interested in Shane Mosley and there have been talks for that fight. Mosley recently called Cintron, among others, out.

"That is possible. In boxing anything is possible, but Cintron has said that is interested in a fight against Shane Mosley.  There have been some good preliminary discussions, so we are going to seriously look at that possibility," DiBella said.
