Former WBO welterweight champion Carlos "El Indio" Quintana tells Reymond Colon that he plans to a ten round fight in the month of September in the 154-pound division. Quintana has begun training and wants to put the April knockout loss to Andre Berto behind him.

Quintana can no longer make welterweight. He only wants opponents at 154-pounds and 160. He started training in Puerto Rico for a September return. Quintana will test the waters at middleweight in September. The next fight will have a weight put in play that is closer to 160.

"We are training to return in September and the first fight should be in around 158 pounds but I still want to fight in the junior middleweight division. I can no longer do 147 and prefer 154 and 160-pounds. I spoke with [promoter] Lou DiBella and asked for the first week of September and I want to see if any of the champions will give us a shot," Quintana said.

"I will fight with any of the [champions]. I love this division. I feel very comfortable as they were also fighting at 147 for many years. The fight I like is against [Sergio] Martinez because we are around the same size, and the same goes for [Miguel] Cotto. Their styles interest me. The same with [Alfredo] Angulo, who is a seasoned fighter."
