Last week, promoter Lou DiBella told BoxingScene.com that he would like to stage a fight between former welterweight champions Carlos Quintana and Zab Judah. Quintana is currently looking for a title at 154 and Judah looks to land a big fight at 140. Both would head to the welterweight limit of 147 for the fight.

DiBella wants the winner to face WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto. He pitched the idea to HBO and the network was interested in airing the fight, and the bout between the winner and Berto. Judah's promoter Square Ring also has interest in making the fight. DiBella has spoken with Quintana and the Puerto Rican fighter is ready to fight Judah as soon as possible. Quintana wants another title opportunity with a fighter like Berto.

"That fight with Judah can happen on March 28 and I would not have problems accepting it. It's a fight that HBO likes and it would also be a qualifying opportunity to get to Berto. I would have to be prepared well because Judah is a good fighter, fast and he can also be explosive," Quintana told Primera Hora .
