Unbeaten heavyweight Carlos Negron will return on the fourth edition of the series “A Puño Limpio," which is going to be held at the coliseum Tomás Dones de Fajardo el viernes on Friday, July 1. He replaces unbeaten McJoe Arroyo, who needs several weeks to recover from an injury to his mouth.
Presented by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) and broadcast live and exclusively by WAPA and WAPA America 2, some of featured bouts will include McWilliams Arroyo (8-1 and seven KOs), Negron (12-0 and eight knockouts) and Camilo Perez (3-0 and three knockouts).
"We will return with prospect Carlos Negron, a former Olympian who enters for another former Olympian, McJoe (Arroyo), who the doctors advised to rest a little bit longer to recover from the injury, and there will be another co-star Camilo Pérez," said promoter Ivan Rivera, president of PRBBP. "McJoe is already well trained and recovering, but doctors told him to rest for a few more weeks, so he may be back by the month of August."
McJoe Arroyo (7-0 and four knockouts), a former Olympian in 2008 and bronze medalist at the 2007 World Championships, suffered an injury to his mouth on January 22, 2011 when stopped Eduardo Melendez in the third in Bayamon. Meanwhile, Negron, a native of Villalba, go to his third fight of the year and the third at heavyweight, for six rounds.
