Unbeaten cruiserweight Carlos Negron (10-0, 7KOs), who starts his heavyweight run on January 22, believes the rise in weight has benefited him. Negron says he feels stronger and plans to use his left jab more to take advantage of his height.

"I see that I have more strength and speed. I trained hard, worked with weights and I ran a lot. I've adjusted to being hit at that weight. Now I feel more alive, athletic and stronger. I will keep my hand in front, the jab. And then use force. I will dedicate myself to use the jab more," Negron said.

Negron said that he hoped in the coming months to increase his weight to 230 pounds the he understands that 230 would be an ideal weight where he would have speed and power.

"I would like to reach 230 pounds but feel agile. I would do the same thing as [Wladimir] Klitschko, who takes advantage of his height. And I stand at 6'6, so we're the same height," Negron said.
