Former welterweight champion Carlos "TaTa" Baldomir is not going to lay down for rising Mexican superstar Saul Alvarez. Baldomir will get a shot to get back in the title picture when he meets Alvarez for the WBC silver junior middleweight title on September 18 at the Staples Center. The fight will be televised on HBO pay-per-view as part of the undercard to Shane Mosley vs. Sergio Mora.

Baldomir is the toughest and most experienced opponent for Alvarez.

"I'm a man and he is still a boy. I will spank him like a boy. He shouldn't worry too much because after this fight he will become a man. He is a good fighter and a future champion but I will make a man out of him," Baldomir said.
