Getting revenge on Mikkel Kessler is a major driving force in Carl Froch's quest to win the Super Six Boxing Classic. Kessler decisioned Froch in the second stage of the Super Six tournament, taking Froch's unbeaten record and WBC title in the process. Because of an eye injury, Kessler has withdrawn from the Super Six, but Showtime has reportedly promised him an immediate shot at the winner of the Super Six.

Froch meets Kessler's stablemate, Arthur Abraham, in the third stage of the Super Six on November 27 in Helsinki, Finland. A lot of trash talk has already been exchanged, but Froch needs a win if he wants to move forward to the Super Six semi-finals.

"Abraham thinks I've lost my mind and stated that the defeat has deeply affected me. It made me chuckle," said Froch to The Telegraph. "All those words have done is strengthen my resolve to defeat Abraham, win the Super Sixes, and then get back in the ring with Kessler."

Froch's promoter, Mick Hennessey, says his fighter is starving to get Kessler back in the ring.

"Carl wants to face Kessler badly, and put the record straight. After the Super Sixes, we will look to put the two of them together," said Hennessy.
