Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch wants to send a strong message when he takes on Arthur Abraham in the third tier of the Super Six Boxing Classic. In his recent Nottingham Post column, Froch didn't touch too much on the venue dispute for the fight. Instead he went into detail on how he plans to win.
"I want to ensure that I inflict a beating on him that will send a loud message out that I will not be denied the Super Six trophy," Froch said.
He plans to target Abraham's body. Froch doesn't see Abraham as a fighter who is capable of fighting a long and hard three minutes. He sees some stamina issues with King Arthur and welcomes the chance to go war with Abraham.
"Abraham brings fabled power to the table, along with a tight guard. He likes to plod along and reserve his energy for the later rounds, with many of his KOs coming towards the end of his bouts, Froch said.
"Against me, he'll have no place to hide as I'm going to take it straight to him. Looping shots around his guard to his temple and ribs. He strikes me as not having the engine to fight every minute of every round but that's what is going to be needed for what promises to be one of the best showdowns of the tournament so far."
