During an interview with UK journalist Steve Bunce, WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch revealed that he sat down with promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. The two discussed a possible working relationship after the Super Six tournament is over. Froch had recently announced that he was a free agent, and broke away from longtime promoter Mick Hennessy. During the last few months, Hearn accomplished a few power plays by snatching away Daren Barker from Henessey and recently convinced unbeaten Kell Brook to jump away from Frank Warren.
"I probably shouldn’t tell you but I will because I think a lot of you Bunce, but I’ve just had a promising meeting with Eddie Hearn,’ said Froch. ‘He’s a gentleman, he knows what he’s talking about," Froch was quoted as saying by boxingfutures.com.
"After [the end of the Super Six] I want to be coming home and fighting in front of my British fans in England and putting on a show. I’ve got some big fights out there and with Sky television looking very promising its exciting times for the end of my career, it really is.’
