Undefeated Carl Frampton believes he can shock WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz when they meet in the ring. Santa Cruz defended his belt last Saturday night in Las Vegas with a dominating decision over mandatory challenger Cristian Mijares. Frampton is now the next contender up and Santa Cruz is ready for the fight. But, first Frampton must defeated Mexican veteran Hugo Cazares on April 4.

“He impressed on Saturday night and got the job done. But Mijares looked old and slow and that made it that bit easier for Santa Cruz. Mijares moved about for the first few rounds, but his legs gave up on him and Santa Cruz did a good job on him," Frampton told Newsletter.

“No fighter is perfect and he has weaknesses. We all do but it is being able to take advantage of those when we meet in the ring. He comes forward and he is there to be hit. He holds his hands high and he has little head movement. It will be a good fight between the two of us and both of us want it."
