Ireland's Carl "The Jackal" Frampton has parted company with Matchroom Sport and will now fight on Frank Warren's "Behind Enemy lines" bill at Wembley Arena on July 20th.

"We have enjoyed our time working with Carl Frampton as Promoter of his boxing career," said Eddie Hearn.  "However, after the success of the last Frampton fight we were informed by Barry McGuigan that he wanted to be joint promoter in future Frampton fights.

“Whilst we had no problem whatsoever in agreeing purses for Carl Frampton, we felt that such a relationship with Barry McGuigan represented a potential conflict of interest with Barry’s role as Carl’s Manager and we could therefore not agree to be involved on this basis.  Matchroom Sport and I wish Carl every success in his future boxing career.”

Frampton's involvement with the Wembley show was revealed at a press conference in London earlier Thursday afternoon; the 16-0 (11) prospect will hope to build on his last fight, an impressive ninth-round stoppage of Kiko Martinez in February, which came hot on the heels of an outstanding sixth-round TKO win over Steve Molitor last September.

The 26-year-old has repeatedly called for a showdown with domestic rival Scott Quigg and will no doubt use the July 20th outing to further underline his claim to British supremacy.
