Sean 'Masher' Dodd's camp have announced that they are set to square off again with Scotty Cardle for the British Lightweight title once again at Liverpool's Echo Arena.

Birkenhead's Dodd put on a great performance after coming out of the boxing obscurity in 2016, taking opportunities presented too him by his manager Steve Wood on Matchroom shows. Dodd took a fight on a week's notice against Gary Buckland, surprising him with a 10 round victory in September. He then produced a domestic fight of the year with Scotty Cardle in November which saw the challenger controversially stopped.

Dodd's camp are delighted with the announcement of the rematch and have spoken about their confidence ahead of an April date with Lytham's Scotty Cardle.

The bill is set to include Tony Bellew in a big fight, Callum Smith as well as many others.
