Brockton, MA. - Boxing returns to the "City of Champions" this Friday night with a five bout card at the Shaw's Convention Center that is being promoted by Richie Cappiello, in association with the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame of Massachusetts. Although the show has undergone some overhauls, Cappiello is promising fans an all-action card.

"Like every boxing promotion, this card has had its changes but it's still turned out to be a competitive night of boxing that the fans will enjoy without question," Cappiello said. "On paper, there isn't one fight on the show where you can point out a definite winner. Every one of the fighters is taking a risk and that's what makes a show."

Seeing action on Friday night are light heavyweight Anthony Russell, come-backing lightweight Melvin Cumba, lightweights Joey Ortega and William Foster, heavyweights J.D. Reber and Harold Rodriguez, local favorite Eddie Bishop and Haverhill's Brendan Simons, who is making his professional boxing debut.

Ringside seats are already sold out however there are still tickets available at the door. General Admission tickets are priced at $35 and kids under twelve years old are only $10. Doors to the Shaw's Convention Center will open at 6:30 p.m. with the first bell of the night scheduled for 8:15 p.m. For information on Cappiello Promotions, please log onto
