Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is no stranger to big fights and already has a favorite for Saturday's showdown between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, who battle in a rematch for supremacy at heavyweight. The WBC world title will be at stake.

The first time around, the bout ended in a controversial twelve round split draw in December 2018 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Canelo explained that Fury is capable of winning, but he needs to make the perfect fight to avoid the same danger he found himself in the first time around.

“It's going to be a very interesting fight,” said Canelo to ESPN Deportes. “If Tyson does things right until the last second of the fight, I see him with more possibilities [to win]. He must make the perfect fight.”

Although he points to the British boxer as the possible winner, Canelo warned that several things can happen before one boxer or the other can raise their hands at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Wilder has displayed in numerous contests, that he can get outboxed in the majority of the rounds and then win the fight after landing a single big shot - as he did back in November when he stopped dangerous Cuban banger Luis Ortiz.

“Tyson moves very well and is very smart inside the ring. We know that Wilder has real impressive power, that at any moment he can finish the fight with a single blow," reiterated Canelo.

The loser of the Wilder vs. Fury rematch has the contractual right to exercise an immediate trilogy fight. If that happens, the third fight would come down in the summer.
