According to the New Zealand Herald, heavyweight Shane Cameron (23-2, 20KOs) is making his return on March 17 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia - fighting for the first time since being drillied by David Tua. The proposed opponent is former rugby league bad boy John Hopoate (12-4, 11KOs).
Hopoate said the fight has been presented by the two sides have not yet reached an agreement on the terms.
"The ball's in their court. The approach came from them - they are the ones who came to us and now they have to agree on financial terms and other things for the fight to take place. I really want it. He's a good fighter and it's a big ask for me and it'll be a real challenge," Hopoate said.
