BoxingScene.com had learned that Manny Robles Jr and Emilio Sanchez, both amateur standouts, have signed managerial contracts with manager Cameron Dunkin.
Both Robles Jr and Sanchez are trained by Manny Robles, one of Southern California’s more underrated trainers, who’s been an integral part of USA Boxing’s amateur program, was the head trainer for the WSB’s LA Matadors, and trains professionals such as Efrain Esquivias and the Flores brothers.
Emilio Sanchez had 76 amateur fights with an impressive list of tournaments wins and performances including
• 2008 PAL National Champ
• 2009 Jr Olympics National Champ
• 2009 Silver Gloves National Champ
• 2009 Jr Golden Gloves National Champ
• 2009 and 2010 Blue and Gold National Champ
And as a senior amateur
• 2011 Golden Gloves State Champ
• 2011 US Nationals Bronze Medal
• 2011 Olympic Trials Bronze Medal
Manny Robles Jr went 90-8 as an amateur and also has an impressive list of achievements including
• 3x Silver Glove Champ
• 4x Regional Champ
• 5x State and District Champ
• 2x PAL National Champ
• 4x Blue and Gold Champ
Largely regarded as one of the best managers in the sport, Cameron Dunkin also manages fighters such as Kelly Pavlik, Nonito Donaire, Brandon Rios, and the newly signed Jessie Vargas.
