Following the recent newsbit with respect to former champion Hector Camacho (75-5-2, 37KOs) facing undefeated middleweight prospect Aaron Pryor Jr. (8-0, 6KOs) in January of 2008, BoxingScene.com was contacted by Frankie Pryor, Aaron ‘The Hawk’ Pryor’s wife, who made it clear that Camacho was not going to fight Pryor Jr. in January and no discussions were ever held to make that fight. It appears that  Endi , a popular Spanish media outlet, misunderstood Camacho's comments during an interview which took place last week.

In fact, Mrs. Pryor was with Camacho in Washington, DC a few weeks back, and he expressed his desire to fight Stephan Pryor (10-3-1, 7KOs), her other son. She and her famous husband are not involved in the management of Stephan, so any negotiations for a Camacho-Pryor meeting would go through Stephan's people. A fight between Camacho and Stephan Pryor makes a lot more sense.

It is likely that Camacho told Endi that he was fighting the son of Aaron Pryor in January of 2008, and the interviewer automatically assumed that is was Aaron Jr. But, it appears to be Stephan who may land that fight, if it goes forward. Camacho, 45-years-old, has been inactive since July 2005.
