Undefeated super-middleweight Joe Clazaghe is once again mixed in with talk going around Boxing circles as being involved in proposed mega-fights.

Joe Calzaghe is rumored to be a future opponent for middleweight Felix Trinidad and light heavyweight Glen Johnson. Calzaghe had a fight with Johnson set earlier this year but injuries and difficulties in negotiations made the fight impossible to make.

"Johnson's (Glen) win was good news for Joe, we can make that fight. We all know Joe wants to move up in weight, and - other than a Tarver rematch - where else can Johnson go? The fight doesn't need a belt, Tarver and Johnson proved that by ditching theirs before they met. It was a gruelling fight for Glen and he will be looking for at least three months off. In the meantime, Joe will fight on 11 February and we will have time to make arrangements for a fight with Johnson some time next year." said Calzaghe's promoter Frank Warren to the BBC

The fact that Don King is interested in matching Trinidad with Calzaghe has Warren very excited. The rumor is that Don King recently approached Warren about the prospect of matching Trinidad against Calzaghe. Warren says the fight can be made if King is serious about the bout.

Most experts think this may be a negotiations ploy by King for a potential rematch between Hopkins and Trinidad. Warren is also very skeptical about a bout with Trinidad and Calzaghe coming off.

"We'd jump at a Trinidad fight, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it." said Warren

Papa Trinidad said that if Don King gives them the green light for Calzaghe, they will go to 168 to fight Calzaghe.

"Weight and size would not be an issue fighting against Calzaghe. Tito is special. If King thinks Calzaghe is the best fight, that's no problem for us." said Felix Trinidad, Sr.
