Calzaghe Contacts Mikkel Kessler To Help Beat Froch?

There are rumors circulating that retired super middleweight king Joe Calzaghe has reached out to the team of his old foe Mikkel Kessler to offer advice on beating WBC champion Carl Froch. Kessler spoke with Ekstra Bladet, and said he would be honored if Calzaghe was willing to help him win. Kessler takes on Froch on April 24 in Denmark. Calzaghe and Froch have had a domestic rivalry for several years.

According to the reports, Calzaghe may take part in Kessler's training camp for the last few weeks, or speak to him via conference call to offer advice.

"I've only just heard about it, but I am honored if Calzaghe will help me. If he has something to offer me, advice or strategy, of course I would more more than happy to listen," Kessler said.

Calzaghe is Welsh, Froch is an English limey. They are different nationalities, about as related as Americans and the Danish. They detest each other. Still this reads like ******** as it's a rumour, probably circulated by Polish Froch's camp. The Danes don't speak English and both Wales and England are part of the United Kingdom and the following statement on Joe's website? Joe Calzaghe CBE, MBE was born in Hammersmith, London, England on 23rd March 1972 to Sardinian father Enzo and Welsh mother Jackie. Prior to his retirement in February 2009 as Britain's only undefeated boxing world champion, Calzaghe was the longest-reigning boxing world champion of the modern era. He has a fight record of 46-0, 32 of which by TKO. He calls himself British and not Welsh and he was actually born in London.

Calzaghe to kessler: You are the best! Carl Froch has talked about Calzaghe in a very long time. Calzaghe and Froch are not the best of friends. If Kessler win the super six. Calzaghe can say:I have beaten up the best in the super middleweight division. If kessler should fail. Then he can still hear Froch talking:) Kessler will beat him by the way!
