Head trainer Joe Gallagher told Sky Sports' Toe 2 Toe that rising prospect Callum Smith (13-0, 10KOs) wants to fight George Groves, who currently owns the WBC silver/EBU super middleweight titles.
Smith is staying very busy, returning on Saturday night against Rafael Sosa Pintos (48-10 KO19) in Leeds and then coming back on November 22nd in Liverpool as part of the Cleverly-Bellew 2 undercard, where he takes on Nikola Sjekloca (27-2, 8KOs).
"Groves is firmly in Callum's sights and that is the fight we want," Gallagher said. "We'll be hot on his heels whatever route he takes."
Callum is viewed as the rising star of the four smith brothers and already fought, and won, four times in 2014.
