Arena Nurnberger Versicherung, Nuremberg (Nurnberg) - Former WBA interim-super middleweight champion Dmitry Chudinov (21-2-2, 13 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over late replacement Siarhei Khamitski (31-15-3, 14 KOs)

Chudinov was coming off a decision loss, in January, at the hands of 45-year-old Lolenga Mock.

After getting stunned more than once in the early going, Chudinov dropped Khamitski with a good right hand in the fourth round. Khamitski was in the fight for the rest of the way, but outworked and outboxing by Chudinov during key moments.

Chudinov was originally scheduled to fight Nieky Holzken, who accepted a main event slot against Callum Smithwhen Juergen Braehmer withdrew from the contest earlier this week with illness.

Hot heavyweight prospect Filip Hrgovic (4-0, 3 KOs) was forced to go the distance for the first time in his career, with an eight round unanimous decision over Sean Turner (12-2, 8 KOs).

Hrgovic did not have it easy, as Turner was able to take his punches and was game enough to stand and trade. Hrgovic controlled the action with his boxing ability and landed the better punches, but never seriously hurt Turner or had him trouble.

The scores were 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73.

In a very hard fought bout, Wanik Awdijan (23-1, 10 KOs) won an eight round majority decision over Florian Wildenhof (27-5). The scores were 76-76, 78-74 and 78-74.

Awdijan, who came to the ring dressed like Darth Vader of Star Wars, had a lot of trouble in the fight and suffered a bad cut in the first round from a punch. It was a give and take fight for most of the eight rounds.

Super middleweight prospect Leon Bauer (13-0-1, 8 KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Marco Miano (6-6).

Bauer looked a lot better than he did in his last fight, after looking lackluster in a  six round draw with Atin Karabet last October in Stuttgart. Bauer, at only 19 years old, is still learning on the job.
