Joe Wood moved to 7-1 with a tidy stoppage inside the distance.
The Rydal Gym-trained super-lightweight, 25, boxed Bulgarian opposition on the ITV4-screened card.
Wood, nicknamed ‘The Rydal Psycho’, had been set to go four rounds against Ilian Markov.
However, it went just three before the opponent failed to beat the count, giving Wood his fifth win since losing his undefeated ledger almost a year ago to the day.
Meanwhile, Lloyd Campbell made short work of his opponent Michal Vosyka.
An assault of hooks forced the referee, who had witnessed something of a one-sided beat down until the finish, to call a halt to the action after less than two completed rounds to give ‘Cambo’ a sixth straight victory and a second stoppage in the paid code.
The end, much to the –– I would say –– relief of the Czech import, came after a minute and 51 seconds of the second stanza.
And Mikael Lawal, the Sauerlands’ new signing, outpointed Jakub Wojcik of Poland over four rounds in the cruiserweight division.
Brian Phillips made a stellar start to his career in the paid code on what he described as a “massive show”.
The 23-year-old was set to go four with Kamil Jaworek of Poland, but he made rather quicker work of his man than had been anticipated.
Phillips, under the tutelage of Scott Hamilton, used his jab to full effect in the early stages to gauge the distance between him and his man before beginning to whip in vicious body shots which scythed down his foe three times –– twice in the first round and once in the second –– before the referee Jamie Kirkpatrick had seen enough and stopped the import on his feet after one minute and 36 seconds of round two.
And John Gillies kicked off the evening with a 39-37 points victory over game Hungarian Ferenc Zsalek to move to 3-0.
