The former champion of the WBO at 105-pounds, Ivan Calderon (35-2-1, 6 KO's), confirmed that on August 4 he will be competing for his former title against the current champion, Mexico's Moises Fuentes (14-1 and 6 KO's), at the Coliseum Mario 'Quijote' Morales in Guaynabo. On June 2 Fuentes will make an optional defense against his countryman Julio Cesar Felix (17-3, 7 KO's) in Tijuana.
"I talked to him (Puerto Rico Bext Boxing President Peter Rivera) on Thursday and he told me that," Calderon said. "The only danger is that Fuentes fight on June 2nd, and I hope [nothing happens]. This fight has been postponed several times but not because of the boxers but for various promotional and logistical constraints."
