Former world champion Celestino 'Pelenchín' Caballero said his split decision loss against Mexican featherweight champion Robinson Castellanos, was mostly due to his inactivity of 16 months. Caballero had no issues with Saturday's outcome and plans to continue his career.

'I have to admit that I was affected from being inactive. The fight was very close, but thank God I had a good fight. The boy (Castellanos) deserved to win. He threw more punches, but they were all ineffective. The judges' decision was fair and I have no complaints. I'm going to relax with my family, I'm still not finished in boxing," Caballero said.

Castellanos, who dropped Caballero in the first round, also said the fight was close.

"It was a very close fight. Caballero is a great fighter. I'm sure that we'll have to fight again at some point because we are on the same path, and I thank him for the opportunity to have this fight," Castellanos said.

With this setback, Caballero's record fell to 36-5 with 23 KOs, while Castellanos improved his record to 18-9, 11 KOs.
