Is there a contract somewhere in boxing that says; "all former Mike Tyson opponents must turn to crime?"
In the last couple of months, Andrew Golota has been arrested on gun charges and is also being investigated for sexual assault allegations, Peter McNeeley was arrested for his part in a robbery and Clifford Ettiene was sentenced to a long stint in prison for armed robbery.
Now, the most famous Tyson opponent of them all, James "Buster" Douglas, has been arrested, and facing charges of charges of falsification and complicity.
William Douglas, the younger brother of Buster, used his older brother's license and Social Security card to obtain a motorcycle permit. Buster has been accused of knowingly aiding and abetting his brother.
Both of the Douglas brothers have been ordered to appear in court on August 1.
In 1990, Buster Douglas pulled off the the biggest upset in boxing history when he knocked out Mike Tyson to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
