Andreas Evensen insists fighting Ricky Burns will be easy - compared to growing up in Colombia.

The South American challenges Burns for the WBO super-featherweight title on December 4 in Glasgow.

And he claims it will be no problem after spending his early years dodging gun fire in Colombia.

"Colombia was a tough place to live," he told the Scottish Daily Record.

"It was hard in the ring but 10 times tougher when I stepped outside of it.

"I remember having to run for cover when bullets started flying between the drug gangs.

"Burns will have never seen anything like that.

"In Colombia you have to go through gangs shooting at each other just to get into the gym. Then you have to get home.

"So I learned to box the hard way and this is my chance to make a name for myself by winning the world title."

"Ricky did what he had to do against Roman Martinez, keeping him busy by throwing punches all the time.

"People raved about how well Burns boxed but I don't think he is all that special. I'm ready to step up and won't allow Burns to dictate."
