Ricky Burns shrugged off Joseph Laryea's attempts at intimidation ahead of Saturday night's WBO super-featherweight title fight at the Braehead Arena.
The two boxers met yesterday in a head-to-head press conference in a Glasgow city centre restaurant where the Ghanaian made a 'slit throat' gesture as he posed with Burns for photographs.
However, the laid-back champion from Coatbridge was unimpressed.
"It doesn't fire me up at all," the 27-year-old said. "I have seen it all before. It is not possible to wind me up.
"I boxed Michael Gomez and I don't think you can get anybody more intimidating than him at a press conferences and the weigh-in.
"But I am always the first one to shake their hands as soon as I meet them and Joseph did look a bit nervous when we were standing face-to-face.
"So all this nonsense beforehand to wind me up is just not working.
"Once you get into that ring nothing like that is going to matter."
