Mexican fighter Juan Carlos Burgos is preparing his bags to travel to Japan, where he is scheduled to face the Hozumi Hasegawa, for the vacant featherweight world title of the World Boxing Council (WBC) on November 26 at Nihon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya.
Hasegawa is the same boxer who on April 30 was knocked out in a sensational bantamweight match by Fernando "Cochulito" Montiel. Hasegawa's jaw was broken by one of Montiel's punches. He moved up by two divisions after the loss.
The native of Tijuana is 25-0 with 18 knockouts. Hasegawa's tally is 28-3, with 12 knockouts. Also on this card, there will be a championship fight for the WBC super featherweight belt, between champion Vitali Tajbert and former champion Takahiro Aoh.
