Coming off his decision loss to division king Wladimir Klitschko in late April, heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings has made a change in his corner. Training him now will be John David Jackson, best known for currently working with Sergey Kovalev.
"We just started, our first camp will be towards the end of August," said Jackson, who is preparing Kovalev for his July 25th fight against Nadjib Mohemmedi.
As for his thoughts on the heavyweight from Philly who got a late start in boxing and has a record of 19-1 (10 KO's), Jackson says:
"He's got a good work ethic, whatever I ask him to do, he does. He's a very good student of the game so I don't think it will be hard to teach him the finer points of boxing. He can learn and improve and show people that he's even better than he thought he was."
Jennings is expected to return to the ring sometime in the fall.
