On Saturday evening interim WBA super featherweight champion Bryan Vasquez fought one of the best fights of his career when he handed Jose Felix Jr. the first lost of his career.  Felix is a stronger fighter with power in both hands but Vasquez landed the stronger shots and the fight wasn't as close as the two 114-113 scores indicated.  The 117-110 score on the third card was a more accurate reflection of the fight.

Vasquez felt he could have done better in the fight but was happy to get the win.

"I don't think that you really saw me at 100%.  I didn't really fight the plan that we started out with but I was able to get the win," Vasquez revealed.

The 26-year-old Costa Rican said that a well deserved rest is next on his agenda but that he hopes to return to the ring soon.

"I really liked fighting in Las Vegas on such a big fight card.  I think this win will do a lot for my career.  We just have to wait and see what is next," Vasquez told BoxingScene.com while mentioning some of the fighters he would like to face next.  "I want to fight the best fighters out there.  I would like to fight guys like Mikey Garcia, he is one of the best.  I would like to unify titles with him.  I also would like to fight Juanma Lopez or Ponce (De Leon).  I think those would all be good fights."
