On the 31st of December, Costa Rican boxer Bryan "Tiquito" Vasquez was suffered the first loss of his pro career, by knockout, at the hands of the current super featherweight champion of World Boxing Association (WBA), Japan's Takashi Uchiyama. The match took place at the Ota-City General Gymnasium Tokyo, Japan. Vasquez is now ready to return on February 28 on a card being organized at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Costa Rican has a record of 29-1, with 15 knockouts. He faces Luis Jose (31-10-2, 26KOs) on the card.
