Bryan Blandón has a new team behind him ahead of his next outing.

The rising prospect has signed a promotional pact with All Star Boxing, both parties confirmed Wednesday. The development comes as the company revealed plans for its next show on July 25 in Blandón’s hometown of Managua, Nicaragua.

“We have heard great things about All Star and are happy to finally put pen to paper,” Blandón said of the move. “This is the beginning of something great, and I will give it my all to be Nicaragua’s next world champion.”

An opponent was not yet confirmed for Blandón, 9-0-1 (2 KOs), who fights for the first time of the year and will now campaign in the bantamweight division. The show will also include resurgent junior flyweight contender Eveling Ortega, 10-5 (2 KOs), who has won nine of her last ten fights after a 1-4 career start.

Blandón’s last outing ended in an eight-round, split decision with countryman Juan Carlos Martinez last October 11 in Managua. The 27-year-old boxer had won nine in a row prior to the stalemate but still showed enough promise on that night and in previous outings to catch the eye of his new surrounding team.

“Bryan is a fighter that has a will to win that’s why we bought him on board,” stated Felix Zabala Jnr, president of All Star Boxing.

ESPN Knockout and Canal 4 will air the event live from Olof Palme Convention Center. All Star Boxing presented an event from the same location on March 7, topped by Gerardo Zapata’s ten-round decision win over Azael Villar.

Blandón’s placement on this card comes just ahead of his four-year anniversary as a pro.
