Dominic Ingle, trainer of IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs), rejects any claims that promoter Eddie Hearn is cashing his fighter out by matching him against WBC/WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs).
The fight will take place on September 10th at the O2 Arena in London.
Brook is huge underdog in the contest. He moves up by two weight division, thirteen pounds, to fight Golovkin for his four titles.
Hearn was trying to make a fight between Chris Eubank Jr. and Golovkin. When that fight fell apart Hearn offered the opportunity to Brook, who jumped on the fight and signed a contract in 48 hours time.
Ingle is not worried about the size difference and believes his fighter is capable of pulling off the big upset.
"Some have said Eddie Hearn was cashing in on Kell Brook but what I would say is this is a fight you can't even think about money because you are going to get seriously hurt," Ingle told Sky Sports.
"You've got to go in thinking you can beat this guy because that is the only way you can win it. It's no good going in with a half-cooked plan, with the idea, 'It's okay I am going to make some money'. Kell is going to get the best training. He's already been in camp six or seven weeks - this is not going to be a nine-week training camp for a fight.
"We're a third of the way through already and we're heading off to Fuerteventura on Monday for three weeks in the sun, we've got strength and conditioners coming in and nothing is going to be left underdone for this fight."
"People are talking about him being the smaller guy but he's not a natural welterweight, he's probably more of a light-middleweight. These type of challenges are the ones that motivate you. He's 30 years old now and he needs this fight to motivate him. Looking at him from nine years old, the one thing I've said over and over again is that he always finds a way. He did against Shawn Porter and he did against Carson Jones - halfway through that fight when it all started going wrong, he found a way to win. Gennady's unbeaten and Kell's unbeaten - there is a reason for that and it's because they are very good fighters."
