Brook Targets Amir Khan: Forget Mayweather, Fight Me!
Brook takes on Michael Clark next month in a WBO Intercontinental Welterweight title defence and is then on course for a potential WBO World title shot next year against unbeaten American Mike Jones.
But he also fancies a showdown with WBA World Light-Welterweight champion Khan who's trainer Freddie Roach recently talked about showdown with Mayweather.
"Khan should forget about fighting Mayweather until he has shown he is the best in Britain first and that means fighting me." Said Brook.
"I don't believe Khan can beat me at 147 pounds.
"He's fast, but I'm just as fast and I'll be too strong for him, once I start landing my bombs, he'll crumble just like he did against Breidis Prescott."
Brook, 24, is in action on December 11th on Frank Warren's huge 30th Anniversay promotions at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
"The next 12 months are going to be really big for me," said Brook, who won a Lonsdale belt outright with four consecutive KOs.
"I've been waiting patiently for my shot at the WBO title, but once I get it, people are going to know all about me.
"Me against Khan at 10'7 for a world title would be a fantastic fight, and hopefully it can happen once I've won the WBO belt."
