Kell Brook agrees that he and Keith Thurman are ahead of Amir Khan in the race to face the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather.

WBA welterweight champion Thurman was full of praise for IBF king Brook last week - highlighting the Sheffield fighter's strength and claiming he deserves the lucrative bout with 'Money' more than compatriot Khan.

The 29-year-old said: "We're all in the mix and we all want the fight but I believe myself and Keith Thurman are the best fights for Floyd Mayweather.

"We are both natural and big welterweights. We're unbeaten and we're coming for it, so for me, Thurman and I stand out.

"You can pick anyone because the division is red hot.

"Whoever I get in with, I always perform and I think Thurman is right with that. He's a good boxer, he knows his boxing and he studies it.

"I've done what's been needed of me up until now."

Brook - set to defend his title in September - has also been calling out Khan for a potential bout, but the Olympic champion has held out in the hope of securing a clash with Mayweather.
