Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs) is set to make the first defense of his IBF welterweight title on December 6th in his backyard of Sheffield. Brook captured the titles last Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, with a twelve round majority decision over previously undefeated Shawn Porter.
Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs), who Brook wants to fight sooner than later, is also scheduled to see action on the same date, likely in the United States.
If both fighters win, Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn wants to match them in a stadium fight in 2015. Hearn believes the fight can be as big as May's rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves, which drew 80,000 fans to Wembley.
Hearn is planning to approach Khan's team, as early as this week, to begin fight discussions.
"For me it is an outdoor event for spring or summer 2015," Hearn told BBC Sport. "It is the same sort of size as Carl Froch against George Groves and it would be good to see it at Wembley or Bramall Lane or Old Trafford. I think talks will begin with Khan's camp possibly this week."
