After a decade or rivalry, former world champion Kell Brook and Amir Khan finally collided in the ring on Saturday night at Manchester Arena.

Brook was entering the ring for the first time since November of 2020, when he suffered a four round TKO defeat at the hands of WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.

The two fighters have been trading words for a decade, but they were never able to reach an agreement for a fight.

In a fight filled with plenty of drama, Brook finally put the nail in the coffin of their longstanding rivalry.

He hurt Khan in the first round and continued to land power shots, round after round, until the referee had finally seen enough and stepped in to wave off the fight in the sixth round.

In the aftermath, Brook and Khan would eventually come together and put an end to their differences.

"I said, 'Listen, you've got the heart of a lion'. He took some big shots. I said, 'Listen, let's just put that to bed now'. We both said we're going to put that to bed and maybe have a coffee one time," Brook told Behind The Gloves.

"Whoever gets in that ring, you have to give them that respect. He put up a fight, he just came second tonight. But I knew that was happening."
