Former world champion Kell Brook is not even thinking about his domestic rival, Amir Khan.

The fight has been mentioned for several years, and the two boxers have traded words for years, but a deal was never close to being finalized.

Last year, when promoter Eddie Hearn was working with both boxers, he tried his best to get them in the ring - with Khan going in another direction by challenging WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford in the United States.

Brook snapped a fourteen month layoff back on Saturday night in Sheffield, when he knocked out Mark DeLuca.

Khan has been out of the ring since stopping late replacement Billy Dib in Saudi Arabia last July. There is no word on when or where Khan will fight again.

Brook wants to stay active in 2020 - and believes there is no point to pursuing Khan at this point.

He wants to target another world title, this time at the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds.

"Nothing really to say about [Amir Khan]," Brook told Sky Sports. "Nothing to say. I'm active, I'm ready. I've seen him. He's out of shape, he's doing his thing.

"I'm after people that want to fight, who are the real people. The real fighting men, that's what I want to deal with.

"Listen, people that know me, know I've got a lion heart. Once I've got my legs under me and I'm fit and healthy, I'm a hard, hard man to beat. I've got all the attributes. I've got the sharpness. I've got everything you need to be a top fighter."
