MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former three division champion Adrien Broner (28-1, 22KOs) returned for the first time since suffering his first career loss last December to Marcos Maidana, and won a ten round unanimous decision over Carlos Molina (17-2-1, 7KOs) in a junior welterweight clash to capture the WBA International title. The scores were 99-91, 98-92, 100-90.

Molina was active in the early rounds, as promised, and landed some good shots to the head and body. Molina was getting off pretty good in the third, but it was Broner who started to land the harder punches in the fourth and was doing so quite often. Broner basically took over the fight and outlanded, outpunched Molina for most of the remaining rounds.
