This past Saturday morning, undefeated heavyweight contender Calvin Brock was honored to officially kickoff the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's "Race for the Cure" in his hometown of Charlotte, NC. Nearly 15,000 people participated in the 5k run/walk through downtown Charlotte raising nearly $1 million to fight the disease.
"My mom is the real fighter in the family," Brock said. "She's a breast cancer survivor. Unfortunately, the disease took my dad's mom when I was a baby. The Komen Foundation is a leader in the fight against breast cancer and I was honored to have been asked to participate in this important event."
