The vacant British heavyweight title clash between Frazer Clarke, 9-1-1 (7 KOs), and Jeamie "TKV" Tshikeva, 8-2 (5 KOs), will no longer take place in Derby next Saturday.

Instead, and as rumoured, the fight will now happen on November 29 – again at Vaillant Live, Derby, with BBC2/BBC iPlayer still broadcasting it.

The original date (October 25) appeared in jeopardy when reports of an injury suffered by Tshikeva in training circulated earlier this week and confirmation of the postponement was then announced by BOXXER, the promoter, this evening.

The original date saw Clarke-TKV go head-to-head with DAZN’s pay-per-view card topped by Joseph Parker vs. Fabio Wardley, so in some ways its postponement comes with a silver lining. And yet, even with its date moving, the path becomes no clearer. In fact, despite having a new date, Clarke-TKV now finds itself clashing with another Matchroom Boxing card on November 29 – a show in Birmingham headlined by Matchroom’s new signing and former BOXXER star Ben Whittaker. Typical.
