Prior to stepping in the ring with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, former WBO champ Shannon Briggs took some time out to speak with BoxingScene.com/Bokser.org. Briggs went on a verbal rampage, ripping Vitali, WBA champion David Haye, and WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko.
On David Haye - David Haye is a pretender acting to be a boxer. He's really like a pretty singer pretending to be a boxer, but I'll make him come out [of hiding].
On Wladimir Klitschko - I'm not Chris Arreola, Kevin Johnson, Juan Carlos Gomez or Sam Peter. I'm better than all of those guys put together because I can do it all. I can box, I can punch. They never fought a fighter like me. That's why Wladimir has been ducking me for eight years.
On Vitali Klitschko - He is going to retire. This will be his last fight. I'm going to hurt him really bad, hurt him all over his body. He won't fight again. It's going to be a really bad beating. Whether he gets knocked out or quits again, that's on him. He's quit before in the past. The decision is his, whether he's going to quit because of his back, his shoulder, his knee, his personal life problem, because he's a mayor back in Kiev - it's up to him.
