Golzka reports that heavyweight Shannon Briggs was not pleased upon arriving in Hamburg, Germany for his scheduled fight with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko on October 16. Briggs came with a bigger team than expected. He was reported to be coming in with five, but arrived with a crew of ten. He was upset as the hotel rooms and other items were not ready. Pursuant to the agreement with Klitschko's company, K2, the rooms and other items were being provided, starting on Sunday. Briggs and his team were forced to book with another hotel in the interim.

Briggs says he is determined to end the career of Klitschko and move forward with a unification of the heavyweight division.

"I will send Klitschko to retirement. Then I will take on Wladimir, and next is the WBA champion David Haye. I will unify the titles and then retire," Briggs said.
