Brian Viloria has had a solid career that saw him win various world titles at 108 and 112 pounds after representing the United States in the 2000 Olympic Games.

In his last outing back on October 17th, 2015 he was stopped by WBC flyweight king, Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez. After taking 2016 off, he is now back in the gym preparing for one last run at a title.

"I got to think about things, where I wanted to go in terms of my career," said Viloria, who's record stands at 36-5 (22 KO's)." I spent a little more time with my son who's growing up and got me refocused."

As he embarks on what is probably the last chapter of his career, he signed a promotional deal with Teiken Promotions, which is based out of Japan. Viloria explained the move to BoxingScene.com:

"It's a lighter weight division, so all those fighters are based out in Asia and it's really tough to get out here in the United States in my weight division. So we're going to try to take a crack at it in Asia in Japan, Philippines, China, see where it goes."

According to 'the Hawaiian Punch' his next fight will be in late February or early March in Tokyo.

"I'm comfortable at 112, this is as big as I'll grow," said Viloria with a chuckle, after his days work at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California.
