At the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Breidis Prescott (23-2, 19 KOs) easily won a ten round unanimous decision over Harrison Cuello (19-13-3, 14 KOs) in a welterweight contest. The scores were 98-91, 99-90 and 99-90. Prescott vs. Cuello were scheduled for different events in August but their fight was put together with a week's notice after a scheduled main event featuring James De La Rosa fell out.
On the undercard, lightweights Antonio Avila (3-1-1, 1 KO) and Russell Fiore (4-0-1, 4 KOs) exchanged knockdowns on route to a four round majority draw. The scores were 37-37, 37-37 and 38-36 for Avila. Fiore went down in round one and Avila went down in round four.
In a shocker, junior welterweight Patrick Lopez (20-2, 12 KOs) stopped previously unbeaten Prenice Brewer (15-1-1, 6 KOs) in two.
