Junior welterweight prospect Brandun Lee stopped Luis Cueto in the first round of a stay-busy bout late Saturday night in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico.

Lee dropped Cueto with a left hook to the head within the first 15 seconds of the opening bell. Cueto stood up, but was battered by Lee until the fight was stopped at 43 seconds.

Cueto, who resides in Tijuana, Mexico, falls to 1-15.

Lee, who will turn 20 on Apr. 25 and is of Mexican and Korean descent, resides in the Southern California desert community of La Quinta. He has stopped eight out of his last nine opponents.

In junior middleweight action, Joseph Bonas won a four-round unanimous decision over veteran Carlos Luzania.

All three judges scored the bout 40-36 in favor of Bonas, who resides in Detroit and improves to 6-0, 5 KOs.

Luzania (7-63-1, 1 KO) has lost 13 of his last 14 bouts.  

Both Lee and Bonas fight under the Now Promotions banner, which is run by Cameron Dunkin.
