Oxnard, CA - Former champion "Bam Bam" Brandon Rios (34-4-1, 25 KOs) has closed camp today in Oxnard, CA. Due to the fires near his home, he was unable to travel to Riverside to finish camp, but that didn't keep him away from the gym this week and finishing up strong.

Rios will face Ramon "Inocente" Alvarez (27-6-3, 16 KOs) one week from today in Mulvane, Kansas in his debut on DAZN.

"I been training hard with Robert (Garcia), great sparring with the young prospects at RGBA, Coach Henry and Junior have been helping me with my strength and conditioning, my nutrition has been great and support from my family and friends. I feel strong and ready to face Alvarez next week," Rios said.

"This is just the beginning of me getting back on top. I have a great team, a great mindset. I'm ready so make sure to download DAZN app and tune in. If you're in Kansas, I will see you there Team Rios!"

The fight is a 10 round non-title bout presented by Sanman Boxing Promotions in celebration of the birthday of its CEO Jim Claude Manangquil on November 24.

Plania said he is excited to fight in front of his hometown crowd.

“I am very happy to be back in the ring. I’ve been training hard despite this fight being non-title. Portes should not be taken lightly. Overconfidence has been the reason why boxers fail in the ring. I will treat this as if it’s a world title fight to ensure a victory," Plania stated.
